FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Social Responsibility is to Morning Joy what Caffeine is to Coffee, Necessary! #brewtality

Jacksonville, Florida – March 7, 2020 -  Positive forward movement and maintaining relationships fostered through Fair Trade practices are essential to success in business, according to the CEO of Morning Joy Coffee.

CEO Kendra Williams and Morning Joy Coffee’s management team discovered recently the allegations of layoffs, ethical concerns about their beans and rumored profit loss. This a result of a severed relationship with a supplier who failed to meet the standards of Fair Trade, which Morning Joy strictly abides by. Since the discovery, Morning Joy has vetted all its suppliers and farming partners to ensure that their businesses met the expectations of the Fair Trade agreement. Additionally, to save on costs, Morning Joy has restructured their facilities to include the use of solar panels and raw materials to cut costs, continues to partner with unions, create development opportunities for marginalized producers and raise awareness for Fairtrade. The retailer also offers new food products with gluten-free and vegan options and established new partnerships with Fair Trade organizations to ensure profitability. A report from Business Premier Capital shows that new product lines reduce monotony and creates enthusiasm for customers, and new technology saves time, money and energy.

“We will continue to be transparent in our decision-making process, financial security, and ongoing opportunities for the disadvantaged,” says Williams, “Social Responsibility has always been at the forefront of our business.”

Morning Joy Coffee promises accountability as consumers continue to benefit from fair prices, sustainably sourced products, and profitability. Starting in May, the company will hire another 25,000 workers for facility and quality improvements and increased productivity. Morning Joy continues to seek innovative ways to run the business and maintain a “Green” environment within their facilities.

“We respect our environment and believe in greater justice, honesty, integrity, equality, and fairness. My apologies if this was tarnished by the rumors,” said Williams.
