At Morning Joy Coffee, the focus is on opportunities to give back and ensure satisfaction through a good quality and sustainably sourced products. Recent trouble followed the coffee brand during vetting and restructuring of their business practices and facilities as one of the suppliers was not selected to move forward in business. According to CEO Kendra Williams, the company has not met the standards of Fair Trade in order to engage in business with Morning Joy Coffees. The company had allegedly engaged in unethical business practices that the Morning Joy brand did not support. After they severed ties, rumors of profit loss, lack of ethics and layoffs arose from the dust.

Morning Joy management team addressed the concerns in a Press Release earlier this month, assuring that the allegations against the company are false and that they explained the changes the business and facility had undergone to ensure this would never be a concern. Today, Morning Joy continues to move forward with as they have been with their continued support of Fair Trade and its traditions for the betterment of the environment and people.

“Brewtality is the mentality that we are home-grown and hard-working, and we are the children of marginalized workers and producers for the earth. So we will always support, what is best for our own by doing what’s right!” said the young CEO.
